Cultiva® announces partnership with GlobalMet™, a precision weather forecasting service
To further our commitment to provide value added tools to specialty crop growers and our retail partners, Cultiva® is pleased to announce our partnership with Globalmet™, a precision weather forecasting service. Through this service, Cultiva will deliver comprehensive weather forecasts, giving them better insights into current and future growing conditions that could impact their marketable yields.
For over a decade, as the global leader in plant and fruit cuticle health management, Cultiva has been helping growers make their horticultural crops more resilient to environmental stressors like untimely moisture and extreme heat events.
Globalmet specializes in producing tailored weather forecasts by leveraging their advanced algorithms and integrating data from field specific weather stations. These capabilities allow Globalmet to generate predictions with a remarkable accuracy rate of 90%.
Working with Globalmet, Cultiva can now provide focused weather forecasts for fruit producers in the Yakima and Wenatchee regions in Washington, as well as in the Lodi and Visalia regions in California for the 2024 growing season. Forecasts can be provided in 30 – 45 day windows and include temperature and rain expectations. In combination with our branded products, Parka® and Kallur®, these forecasts will enable retail fieldmen, pest control advisors and growers in these regions to improve their processes for managing fruit cracking, sunburn or fruit coloring issues.
